CHICAGO, IL, Jan. 5, 2016 – HotQuant, Inc., and the EDM Council, a non-profit trade association to advance the practice of data management, have partnered through the Council’s Authorized Partner Program to enable HotQuant to conduct assessments utilizing the EDM Council’s Data Management Capability Assessment Model (DCAM™) framework.
“DCAM is a comprehensive framework to assess an organization’s data management practices and programs,” said Matt Cutter, Partner and Principal Engineer at HotQuant. “Whether the organization is just getting started, or has an established program, DCAM provides a standardized benchmark to drive strategic goals, assess organizational maturity, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and industry regulations.”
DCAM is the documentation of capabilities and best practices required to develop a sustainable data management program. The model is based on the collective experience of data practitioners across the global financial information industry.
“Siloed systems and fragmented data governance processes continue to be significant challenges for enterprises as competitive pressures and regulatory requirements increase,” said Mike Meriton, Senior Advisor for Industry Engagement at the EDM Council. “Authorized partners such as HotQuant are using our DCAM framework for engaging organizations with a comprehensive approach to modernizing data management and establishing it as a strategic enterprise function.”
Hotquant principals have over 20 years’ experience in providing world-class technology solutions and enterprise data management programs for organizations in the financial industry.
